About Wooden Stone Gallery

Wooden Stone first opened in 2005 in Davidson, a small college town in North Carolina on Lake Norman just north of Charlotte. The owners aspire to bring together beautiful, functional North American crafts. The gallery has grown to represent close to 600 Artists from the United States and Canada, over 100 of which are from the Carolinas.

The majority of crafts represented at Wooden Stone Gallery are being made in small studios that employ five or fewer craftspeople. The Gallery offers the opportunity for customers to own and give unique crafts that are beautiful, durable and distinctive. The 2,500 square foot gallery showcases jewelry, pottery, glassware, furniture, paintings and prints, wooden bowls and boards, home decor, and fiber art.

From the planning year and opening day in 2005 until the summer of 2015, Drew Crawford was managing partner of the Gallery. Summer 2015 Drew’s parents, Van and Evalyn, came out of retirement, becoming managing partners.

Our Mission

Wooden Stone Gallery aims to promote enthusiasm about contemporary American craft and the artists we proudly represent. The handmade works of art in our gallery should be something you would find useful or be proud to give – – – the goal is simple: to put handcrafted art in your hands.
