Artist's Statement
All of the deer and elk hides I use come from legally hunted game that are used for sustenance. These hides, which would otherwise be wasted, are gathered when the deer and elk meat is processed, then tanned and dyed for use by people like me. These beautiful creatures are wild and free to roam until the moment they are taken. I honor each deer and elk for its gift.
