Chris Horney

Primarily self-taught, I have been designing and building fine furniture since 1997. My shop is located in a converted tobacco pack house in rural southeast Guilford County near Greensboro, NC. I build elegant handcrafted furniture from exquisite woods with a respect for tradition while reflecting my own personal design sense. That sense is informed by things as diverse as acorns and tribal rugs, architecture and Audrey Hepburn. As I refine my designs the goal remains: to create pieces that appear fragile yet remain functional with subtle, sensuous forms, elegant curves and delicate details.
