Donna McAfee

Donna's love of metalsmithing began in college, where she earned both a BA and an MA in Art. Before becoming a full-time studio artist, Donna taught high school art, as well as some college classes. Her work is now shown in galleries and exhibitions across the country. Working kdirectly with thte metals (sawing, hammering, forming...) Donna constructs each piece of jewelry using sheet sterling accented with bronze or 14K gold, and semi-precious gemstones. Her craftsmanship and personal artistic expression transform these raw materials into jewelry that is both flattering and pleasurable to wear. "It is in the wearing of the jewelry that the creative process is truly complete. I hope that others feel the same pleasure and sense of connection while wearing my jewelry that I feel while making it."
