Dolors Ruscha

Dolors Ruscha's fused glass jewelry is influenced by the coastlines of the Mediterranean Sea in Spain, where she originally came from. Soon after her arrival in Washington State in 1993 seh became an artist assistant, allowing her to gather knowledge about beadwork, jewelry, enameling and some metalsmithing.

Her first encounter with glasswork was in 1998 when she participated in a workshop on stained glass from a local instructor. Fascinated by the play of glass, color and light, she decided to take classes at eh Pratt Fine Art Center in Seattle. In 2002 she became a member of the Stanwood-Camano Arts Guild in her community.

Dolors has exhibited her work since 1998 at various shows and galleries, and believes her most gratifying gift as an artist is to work in a medium where she can best express herself and share her work for everyone's enjoyment.
