Artist's Statement
I create traditional and organic blown glass vessels that reflect the beauty and complexity of the natural world. My work demonstrates the history and tradition of the vessel while treating the surface as a canvas for expression. Each piece voices an interpretation of nature, from its simplest designs to its most ornate. I take inspiration from the mountains, oceans, and sky and manifest my appreciation into glass with harmonious earth tones.

I was initially drawn to glass blowing by the mystery of the ancient process. The excitement of the flames and the pace of the exchange between man and fire have since captivated me. As a glass blower working exclusively as a solo artist, I've had to develop new techniques that allow me to overcome the crucial timing and physical demands that assistance teams normally help control.
