Artist's Statement
My focus is to create functional ceramics that ask to be handled and used. My work has a strong emphasis on form, distilled from the study of the figure and figurative movement as well as life forms in nature. I design with a grouping in mind, in order that the pieces interact with each other both visually and functionally. In the process I enjoy discovering many layers of suggestion and imagery.
