LeAnne Ash

LeAnne Ash lives and works in the mountains of Western North Carolina. She is a resident artist at the EnergyXchange, an art studio and horticulture center that utilizes landfill gas and promotes emerging artists. She makes wheel thrown and hand-built functional pottery that finds strength in its simplicity; reminiscent of a time when handmade pottery was meant to be used. Each piece is unique, and is a natural progression from the ones that have come before. Her work is set apart by quiet details such as undulating rims, layered surfaces, and soft directional changes.
