Penny Overcash

I have always been involved in creating with one material or another: in earlier years as a pastry chef with chocolate, sugar and fondant as my palette or in recent years with my new-found love of clay. Art for me has been an internal driving force never to be denied. When I first reconnected with clay I knew I had found my true medium for lifelong exploration. After all, one can paint, cast, carve and sculpt all with one wondrous material.

My focus has always been nature-driven. The complex patterning and evolution of all life is a true fascination for me and I try to bring some of that synergy to my work.
