Having been teachers in New England, my husband and I were able to spend summers on Cape Cod. The beautiful beach atmosphere of semi-rural Brewster, and ample time to do so, encouraged me to express myself with painting on white clothes, making sailor's valentines with shells, and with weaving. Since we retired to North Carolina, I have become involved in expressing my love for precious metals and gems, along with my handmade beads of polymer clay, to make jewelry. Most recently, I have been exploring the manipulation of precious metal wire to form metal elements of jewelry.
