Janet Zug discovered the art of working molten glass through an apprenticeship in Vermont in 1990. Janet established Zug Glass in 1992. For the next twelve years, Janet rented other artists' studios to create her own designs. By renting different glass studios, Janet had the chance to travel the country and explore hot glass in many environments. In 2004 Janet Zug installed her own hot shop when building a home in Turnbridge, Vermont. Janet is now involved in her hometown of 1,200 people. She directs the childrens choir at her local church, publishes a quarterly newsletter for her town, and currently works on a committee to bring high-speed Internet to her rural area.
