ARTIST STATEMENT

Blenko Glass Company has been a family owned and operated company since 1893. They have been located in Milton, WV since 1921. Exquisite color, skilled craftsmen, and imaginative designs have made Blenko famous in the time-honored craft of hand-blown glass. They are most famously known for their colorful water bottles.

Blenko makes their glass in small batches and their processes are performed by hand, so it is common to observe small air bubbles, lines or individual marks left behind by their craftsmen, making each piece of glass unique.
