ARTIST STATEMENT

The inspiration for my art comes through nature.  Whether it is a leaf, bird, or powerful storm, the ever-changing world we live in constantly provides me with new insights for my designs. I love to work with glass, a naturally beautiful medium that comes alive in partnership with light. Glass provides a surface unlike any other in this world. When engraved or sand-carved, the dance between transparency and opalescence begins.  I hope my work reminds the viewer of how truly awesome our natural world is.  Nature is a treasure we can never replace.
