Fred and Judi Danforth, along with their team of artisans, revived the family tradition of pewtersmithing that began with Thomas Danforth II in early 18th Century colonial Connecticut. Every piece of Danforth pewter is crafted by hand from 100% lead-free fine pewter in their Middlebury, Vermont workshop. Each piece bears a lion touch mark, a family symbol of quality and originality of design. Their work includes everything from baby spoons to one-of-a-kind oil lamps. Fred and Judi are passionate about their craft and proud of their family’s longtime involvement in pewter making in America.
