Jim Moore

ARTIST STATEMENT

Jim Moore began blacksmithing in 2003.  What started out as a hobby quickly became a part-time business. He soon began participating in juried art and craft shows and placing work in a few galleries.  He enjoys the process of developing new designs, the challenge of assembling larger pieces, and above all, the pleasure of forging and shaping hot iron with hammer and anvil.  Subsequent to retiring in 2014 from a 34-year career as a clinical psychologist, he is spending more time at the forge.
