Sugarpost gets its name from its neighborhood in Salt Lake City – Sugar House – and its original location across the street from the post office. Sugarpost was originally a pottery shop. In 1999, after producing the first army helmet turtle, Sugarpost Metal headed in the direction of full-time metal production. A change of location and the addition of a metal facility brought about many new additions to the metal line of creatures, as well as custom functional and artistic projects.
Funky, irreverent, unpretentious and always very unique, Fred Conlon’s award-winning metal art has appeared in art festivals across the nation.
