WildWorks is a creative metalworking partnership formed to bring beauty to dull household objects, like switch covers. Karen Boulton and Jonathan Briggs have learned skills from each others’ artistic experience. Their bold designs reflect a desire to be different, and encourage people to replace ordinary objects with something that will enhance their home and imagination. WildWorks designs are influenced by patterns and textures in everyday life, and by the American Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the 20th century. Those artists were driven by a desire to create well designed work that countered the crude, mass-produced factory wares of the time. Karen and Jonathan also believe there should be pride of workmanship, and beauty, in even the most functional of household objects. Making common things uncommonly well has led them to success.
