ARTIST STATEMENT

Anne Hicks has been sewing since she was a teenager.  She made one bag for a friend, a few as Christmas gifts, and one for herself.  When she took hers to the hair salon, everyone in the shop wanted one.  From there, she took them to craft shows and then found her home at Wooden Stone.  She makes seven different styles using upholstery and drapery fabric.  All bags are fully lined with pockets, and the closure is a vintage button.  Anne never makes two of the same bag.
