Laura Johansen

ARTIST STATEMENT

Laura Johansen has been sewing since she was a little girl. She graduated from Virginia Tech with an Apparel Design Degree in 1970.  Since then she has designed and made all types of clothes, but dolls have been her constant companions.  During Christmas of 2013, she took a doll-making class which started her passion for making.  She has been creating unique fairies and grannies ever since.
