Blues musician Casey Lipe and his studio of workers at Blueswood Art handcraft furniture from antique woods harvested from structures in the Mississippi Delta, where the blues was born. Coming from barns and tenant houses that had been destined to be burned or pushed into a bayou, the wood is preserved for future generations. All pieces are handmade in Mississippi by local craftsmen. The drawers are solid wood and all pegs have a glued joint and a coarse thread screw or bolt underneath. Blueswood Art pieces are finished with solid brass knobs and hand-wrought iron drawer pulls.
