Alex Tarasenko

ARTIST STATEMENT

Alex Tarasenko retired from the soft drink industry in Chicago and moved to North Carolina ten years ago.  Two years ago, he started his hobby of pen turning.  Most of the pens carried in the gallery are made from acrylic. Alex mixes resin into the mold which he then turns into the pen shape, sometimes adding natural materials such as magnolia buds and cholla cactus.
